Cavanera Contrada Verzella

  • From the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Contrada Verzella, Ripa di Scorciavacca is a refined white blend of Carricante with a touch of Catarratto, grown at 650–750 meters above sea level in sandy, volcanic soils. Hand-harvested in early October, the grapes undergo soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, followed by 6 months on fine lees and 6 months in bottle for added complexity.

Intense straw yellow with green reflections. The nose opens with yellow wildflowers—broom and acacia—layered with ripe apple, white peach, and delicate herbal notes. On the palate, it reveals a distinctive volcanic minerality, full body, and elegant roundness, showcasing Etna's purity and structure in a vibrant, archetypal expression of mountain-grown white wine.
